The first gameplay trailer for Dreadcore: Locked Unit, a first-person cyberpunk horror game in development by indie creator Vladislav Lukyantsev, has just been unveiled.
Set in a dystopian cyberpunk world, the game puts players inside a mysterious warehouse complex where reality and technology intertwine. As you explore, you’ll uncover dark secrets through environmental interaction, reading notes and terminals, and solving puzzles.
Dreadcore: Locked Unit promises atmospheric exploration, environmental storytelling, and hands-on interaction with enigmatic devices, creating a tense and immersive experience. At its core, the narrative explores themes of identity, memory, and the ethical consequences of technological progress. Psychological horror is heightened by unsettling visuals and sound design, digital anomalies, and inexplicable phenomena.
“Discover the tragic story of Unit 199, where a fragmented consciousness still haunts the place,” reads the official description.
Players will have to decipher codes, bypass security systems, and gradually unveil mysteries that blur the line between reality and illusion.
The release is planned for Q4 this year, and there’s already a Steam page available.
By the way, we recently reported on another atmospheric horror title, Whispers in the Fog, which is being developed by the creator of Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 and Call of Duty: Vanguard.
