GSC Game World Shows Off Night Vision in Upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Update
GSC Game World has released a video showcasing night vision functionality in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. This feature is slated to arrive with the anticipated Update 1.6.
While a release date for Patch 1.6 is still pending, details have emerged revealing that it will introduce a new location tied to a familiar character, as well as new weapon modifications, including an extended magazine for the Kora 1911 pistol.
Back in August, GSC Game World shared a roadmap outlining their support plans for the game throughout the second half of 2025. According to the roadmap, the next four months will see the developers transitioning the project to Unreal Engine 5.5.4, implementing optimization improvements, refining modding tools, enhancing the A-Life system, reworking stashes and stamina-boosting beverages, introducing new quests and anomalies, adding binoculars, integrating a "Master" difficulty level, and implementing a new weather type, amongst other features.
In related news, the PS5 version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is set to launch on November 20th, boasting DualSense controller support. The PlayStation 5 Pro version will feature enhanced visuals, including improved shadow quality, reflections, volumetric fog, and clouds. Pre-orders are currently available on the PlayStation Store, with the standard edition priced at $60.
