GSC Game World Teases Night Vision in New S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Update
GSC Game World has taken to social media to share screenshots showcasing the night vision devices coming in Update 1.6 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
Details about the upcoming update are currently scarce. We know it will add several night vision devices to the game, as well as a new side quest from a familiar character, and new weapon mods, including an extended magazine for the Kora 1911 pistol. A full list of additions will be released alongside the patch, but a release date has yet to be announced.
The previous major patch, version 1.5, arrived in late June. It added two new weapons (the Kora-1911 pistol and the Mosin rifle), a new anomaly (a water-based electrical tornado), and the ability to collect trophies from mutants. It also improved the A-Life system, increased the size of the personal stash, introduced official mod support, and fixed a slew of bugs.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is currently available on PC (Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X/S. It will launch on PlayStation 5 on November 20, 2025. Pre-orders are already available on the PlayStation Store for one of three editions: Standard ($60), Deluxe ($80), and Ultimate ($110). Earlier this year, GSC Game World released a trailer for the Sony console version.
