New Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Gameplay Shows Off the Deadly Ring Mechanic

Following DICE’s official reveal of the Battle Royale mode in Battlefield 6, a wave of new gameplay leaks has surfaced. Once again, the footage comes from Chinese players who recorded dozens of minutes of in-game action.

Overall, enough material has hit the web to give a fairly complete picture of the mode’s mechanics and implementation. Each match will support up to 100 players split into 25 squads. The mode will retain elements from previous Battlefield titles, such as class-based team play, vehicular combat, and destructible environments. In addition to fighting each other, players will be able to complete missions or search for stashes and rewards on the map to gain an advantage.

Developers also announced a new feature called the “deadly ring,” which will gradually shrink the map’s boundaries, instantly killing anyone caught outside of it. The leaked clips show this mechanic in action — the ring appears as a fiery storm closing in on the battlefield.

The Battle Royale mode will launch alongside the main campaign and multiplayer on October 10, when Battlefield 6 releases for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. You can check out our beta impressions here, and the full system requirements are available at this link.

Previously, players criticized an overly bright Battlefield 6 skin that surfaced in another leak.
