A short gameplay clip from the upcoming LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has surfaced online. According to the caption, it was recorded at gamescom 2025, where attendees were able to try out an alpha build of the game.

The footage shows Batman exploring Gotham, using his grappling hook, cape, and Batmobile. Numerous activity markers can be spotted, including collectibles and side content.The city itself, as previously promised, offers expansive areas to explore — reportedly even larger than the maps in Batman: Arkham Knight.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is being developed as an action game packed with references to Batman films and related projects. Players will be able to control up to seven playable characters, including Catwoman, Nightwing, Batgirl, and other iconic heroes.The project is conceived as a prequel to Bruce Wayne’s rise as Gotham’s protector.
