Fresh information about the release date of one of the most anticipated LEGO projects has surfaced online. According to blogger LEGO Games News, who previously leaked accurate details about the game ahead of its official announcement, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is scheduled to release in spring 2026.

The project, developed by Warner Bros. Games in collaboration with TT Games, will feature a full story campaign and an open-world Gotham divided into districts. Unlike previous entries, the city will act as a true sandbox, allowing players to freely explore the streets, complete side activities, and hunt down collectibles. The game promises one of the largest worlds ever seen in a Batman title, along with plenty of Easter eggs tied to the Dark Knight’s film adaptations.

In addition to Batman, the game will feature a wide roster of playable characters. Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, and a host of villains — including Catwoman — are all expected to join the lineup. More details can be found in our dedicated feature.

Earlier, new gameplay footage of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight surfaced online, showcasing a Gotham packed with activities. The game is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
