Ghost of Yotei Now Available for Preload on PlayStation 5

Preloading for Ghost of Yotei, Sony’s next major exclusive, has officially begun on PlayStation 5. The file size comes in at just over 85 GB, so players may want to clear up space on their SSDs ahead of launch.

Ghost of Yotei is an atmospheric open-world action game set 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima. This time, the story follows Atsu, a mercenary who loses her family and home after a bandit raid. Determined to track down those responsible, she sets out on a path of revenge. Unlike its predecessor, Ghost of Yotei moves away from the samurai code, introducing a more varied combat system with new types of traditional Japanese weapons — and even firearms. It’s also worth noting that the review embargo lifts today at 9 AM ET/ 15:00 CET, when the first critic scores and in-depth impressions will go live. That should reveal whether the sequel lives up to its status as one of the fall’s biggest releases. Recently, it was also reported that the sequel’s development cost Sucker Punch roughly the same as the original game.
