Patch 1.6 also introduced night vision devices, a new character — Gonta from Call of Pripyat, the Fireball anomaly, and a side quest that rewards players with a unique new weapon — the Dragunov sniper rifle. Additionally, the update added item sorting in personal stashes, a new aiming mode, and more.
According to the roadmap for the second half of 2025, published in mid-August, the game will soon receive a binoculars item, a new weather type, a Master difficulty level, and an expanded day-night cycle. Moreover, the shooter will be upgraded to a new Unreal Engine version (5.5.4), which the developers say will improve stability and performance.
Recently, a YouTuber tested whether FPS increased in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl after patch 1.6.
