Dying Light: The Beast to Receive New Hotfix with Performance Improvements
Diana Golenko
Techland has announced that the new 1.2.3 hotfix for Dying Light: The Beast is already in final testing. The team emphasized that most of the fixes are ready, but they want to ensure the update is fully stable before release.
Key contents of the hotfix:
- Performance: ongoing work to reduce stuttering and FPS drops;
- PC Frame Generation: improved stability and consistency under heavy load;
- Quests: fixes for four progression-blocking bugs;
- Zombie Grabs: balance adjustments to keep encounters tense but not excessive.
Developers plan to release the hotfix early next week, with full patch notes available immediately after launch. Players are also advised not to install unverified mods, as they may cause crashes or interfere with the fixes.
Dying Light: The Beast is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. The spin-off’s story follows Kyle Crane, the protagonist of the first game. After being infected, he spent years as a lab test subject before finally breaking free. Now, he must take revenge on his tormentors using the newly acquired Beast abilities.
Previously, the game was even run on Android, with gameplay demonstrated in a video. The developers also thanked players with powerful weapons for their patience and positive reviews. Meanwhile, fans have already compared Dying Light: The Beast to Dying Light 2 Stay Human in terms of gameplay and other aspects. Our detailed game guide can be found here.
