Following the first gameplay trailer, new screenshots from Insomniac Games’ upcoming brutal action game Marvel's Wolverine have appeared online. Among them is another image of Wolverine in his iconic yellow-and-black costume and a fresh look at the fictional city of Madripur.
Both images depict Logan’s time in Asia. In one shot, Wolverine battles an enemy on the streets of Japan, while the other showcases the affluent district of Madripur looming over the slums. In the comics, Madripur is portrayed as an island city-state known for crime, gangs, and gambling.
Marvel's Wolverine will take players and Logan to various locations worldwide, including Canada, the aforementioned Madripur, Japan, and other countries. The former soldier, mercenary, and Weapon X will uncover events from his past — sometimes having to force the truth out of enemies using his adamantium claws and environmental objects. The game will also feature Mystique and Red Omega.
The release of Marvel's Wolverine is scheduled for Fall 2026 on PlayStation 5. The first full trailer was showcased during the recent State of Play event. Insomniac Games plans to share more details early next year. There are also rumors that the studio is simultaneously working on a Venom action game, potentially featuring Carnage.
