Jaw Drop Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Deathground, a horror title that feels like a mix between Dino Crisis and Alien Isolation. The developers have also revealed the exact Steam Early Access release date.
In Deathground, players will face wild dinosaurs that react to both movement and sound. You can play solo or team up with up to four players to tackle dangerous missions in abandoned research facilities.
The game features procedurally generated elements, dynamic objectives, and adaptive enemy AI, making each run unpredictable. To survive, players will have access to tools like motion detectors, tranquilizers, hacking devices, and medkits.
Other highlights include atmospheric environments and a tense soundtrack by BAFTA-nominated composer David Housden, known for his work on Thomas Was Alone, Volume, and Q.U.B.E. 2, all of which heighten the sense of fear and uncertainty.
Deathground is set to launch in Early Access on October 7. The project was successfully funded on Kickstarter back in 2020, raising £118,000.
By the way, in May, Japanese game designer Hideki Kamiya admitted he’d love to revive the Dino Crisis series, which was especially popular during the PS1 era.
