The developers at MOON CATALYST have released a free demo for their third-person survival horror game PSYCHO DEAD, which draws inspiration from the Resident Evil series and the anime Elfen Lied. Players can check out the project for free on Steam, with the full release planned for 2026.
The demo offers about an hour-long introduction, letting you play through the opening chapter. The story centers on a girl named Elixia, who possesses unusual psychic abilities.
Using telekinesis, energy blasts, barrier creation, and other powers, she must escape a secret laboratory filled with terrifying creatures born from twisted experiments.
Gameplay combines limited resources, exploration, puzzles, and non-linear progression, allowing you to tackle challenges through direct combat or stealth. The atmosphere blends horror and sci-fi, with every location hiding its own dangers and mysteries.
“Face off against dreadful stalkers—twisted creations born from sinister experiments. These relentless creatures possess unique abilities, making them formidable foes who will stop at nothing to hunt you down,” reads the game’s description.
By the way, Steam’s Autumn Sale has just kicked off, offering discounts on a huge variety of games across different genres and categories.
