Secret Jin Sakai Quest Discovered in Ghost of Yotei — Spoilers Ahead

YouTuber Ben-Gun has shared an in-depth walkthrough of a hidden quest in Ghost of Yotei called "Jin Sakai's Legend." This secret mission is a direct nod to Ghost of Tsushima and reveals the fate of Jin Sakai, the protagonist of the previous game. Spoiler warning!
In the quest, players journey into the picturesque mountains of Ezo to seek out the legendary Storm Blade. Along the way, the hero encounters a mysterious fox, explores an ancient temple, solves puzzles, and faces off against tough opponents. The path is dotted with old shrines, relics, and memorable locations where you can even compose haiku. The quest encourages players to experiment with different weapons and tactics, swapping gear based on enemy type. Completing the challenge rewards you with valuable loot—Jin's sword, his armor, and the iconic Ghost mask.
The adventure culminates in a showdown with a new adversary who also seeks the Storm Blade. After emerging victorious, players learn the legend of a samurai who, after the fall of his clan, not only survived but also defended his homeland by rejecting tradition and becoming an outcast, hiding from the shogun in the lands of Ezo. He eventually became the founder of the shinobi path—an intriguing reinterpretation of Jin’s character and a clear nod to the historical events of the Mongol invasions. The video ends with a shot of a gravestone.
Ghost of Yotei launched exclusively for PS5 on October 2 and has received high praise from critics.
