Castle of Heart: Retold, an enhanced version of the original 2018 action game, is now available on PC and consoles. To celebrate the launch, developers 7Levels have released a brand-new gameplay trailer.
According to the team, Castle of Heart: Retold is an expanded re-release featuring significant improvements to gameplay, storytelling, and visuals.
Players step into the shoes of Swaran, a warrior cursed by an evil sorcerer and turned to stone. To stave off the devastating curse, Swaran must keep fighting—otherwise, he’ll gradually lose his limbs and the ability to wield weapons.
The adventure takes players across four Slavic lands filled with mythical creatures, from chorts and upyrs to vodyanoys, as well as intense boss battles. The arsenal includes both melee weapons and ranged options like crossbows.

The new version features revamped animations, character models, and lighting, remixed music tracks, and improved controls, interface, and combat balance. The story is told through updated dialogues and fully reworked cutscenes, while alternative endings can be unlocked by collecting Mokosh goddess crystals.
Castle of Heart: Retold is available on Steam and GOG with a 15% launch discount. Versions for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch are also available.
On a related note, the medieval open-world sandbox Noble Legacy, which lets players build their own castles and settlements, recently launched in Early Access this August.
