Good Fun Corporation has released a new trailer for its ambitious PvPvE extraction shooter, Hunger, showcasing 12 minutes of pre-alpha gameplay. The game transports players to an alternate Napoleonic Europe plunged into chaos by a zombie plague.
According to the developers, the story will unfold through the classic loop of a multiplayer extraction shooter. Players will progress from level 1 to 100 by completing quests, surviving expeditions, and mastering a flexible skill system that evolves based on their choices. As they advance, players will gain access to advanced weapons, rare gear, armor, cosmetics, ingredients, and other valuable resources.
Hunger will also allow players to specialize in crafting or gathering professions, enabling them to create items for personal use, help friends, or trade on the player-driven marketplace. This system is designed to add strategic and economic depth, fostering specialization and community interaction.
Notably, Hunger will not feature wipes — progress will be retained even after death. For the extraction shooter genre, this is a rare feature and, according to the developers, one of the game’s key pillars.
At endgame, the core extraction loop will expand with PvE dungeons, boss encounters, and intense PvP battles. While no release date has been announced yet, Good Fun Corporation plans to launch the game in Early Access in 2026 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
