Dusty Box studio has officially announced Cult of Blood, a single-player survival horror inspired by classics like Resident Evil. The game is set to launch next year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The story follows a police officer sent to investigate reports of vampires. What starts as a routine assignment quickly turns into a nightmare as he discovers a remote village hidden deep in the woods, cut off from the outside world and ruled by its own dark laws. Here, a blood cult thrives, worshipping a priestess who seeks to become a deity. The protagonist soon realizes he’s become the final piece in her ascension ritual. According to the developers, the story is inspired by real events and explores themes of light versus darkness, human faith, and inevitable doom.

Gameplay combines fixed camera angles, cinematic cutscenes, and refined “tank” controls to create a tense atmosphere where every decision could be fatal. The combat system emphasizes survival: ammo is scarce, healing is rare, and enemies attack in groups, forcing players to weigh every shot and every step. Modern touches like aiming, dodging, and dynamic finishers add depth to the action.

You’ll face not only supernatural creatures, but also deranged cultists. Expect brutal boss battles that demand precision and composure, as well as a progression system where you collect blood souls to upgrade your weapons and gear.

A demo is already available on Steam, along with the option to add the game to your wishlist.
