Rumor: Exact Release Date for Mysterious Silent Hill: Townfall Revealed

It looks like Silent Hill fans are in for a busy few years. According to a fresh rumor, the mysterious Silent Hill: Townfall could be launching as soon as spring 2026. Insider Biohazard Ultimate reports that the release is allegedly set for March 26 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. What’s more, the source claims Konami will host a Silent Hill Showcase in October, where new details about Townfall will be shared, along with the first trailer for the Silent Hill remake.

According to insider info, Townfall will feature several short stories connected by the ghosts of a small coastal town’s past. The main events are said to unfold near a beach close to the settlement, rumored to be haunted by the souls of the dead. Gameplay-wise, the project reportedly draws inspiration from Silent Hill: The Short Message and the P.T. demo—players won’t have access to weapons or items, with the focus instead on atmosphere, exploration, and terrifying chase sequences.

While this information hasn’t been officially confirmed, rumors of a 2026 release have surfaced before—most notably from well-known insider Dusk Golem.

If the leak is accurate, Townfall’s release will land in a packed window—March also sees the launches of Crimson Desert and 007: First Light, with Resident Evil Requiem arriving a month earlier.

Officially, all we know is that Silent Hill: Townfall is being developed by Screen Burn (formerly No Code), the studio behind experimental horror games Stories Untold and Observation.

Meanwhile, the Silent Hill franchise is experiencing a major revival—the recently released Silent Hill f sold over a million copies in just three days, Bloober Team is working on the Silent Hill remake, and rumor has it they’re also preparing a Silent Hill 3 remake and a new original title inspired by Resident Evil. Additionally, the Silent Hill 2 remake is rumored to be coming to PS Plus Extra in October, and the Return to Silent Hill movie is set to premiere in January.
