Dying Light: The Beast Receives Another Update Improving Stability and Fixing Quests

Developer Techland has released update 1.2.4 for Dying Light: The Beast, addressing numerous issues and improving overall stability across all platforms. The hotfix primarily focuses on performance, co-op functionality, and story missions.

Highlights of Update 1.2.4

  • Stability and Performance — fixed critical crashes, optimized loading times, improved Steam and PS5 compatibility, adjusted FPS limiter and Frame Generation, and eliminated visual reflection artifacts.
  • Quests and Progression — fixed issues in Safe Haven, Power Gambit, School's Out, and Don’t Look Back in Anger; resolved achievement and co-op synchronization bugs; and unlocked previously inaccessible hidden stashes.
  • Gameplay — improved ledge-grabbing animations, making parkour more fluid and responsive.
  • Environment and Audio — fixed world geometry, lighting, and rain effects, added missing objects, and corrected issues with music and sound transitions.
  • General — improved translations, adjusted weapon and crafting data, and added notifications about shared progression in the game list.

You can read the full patch notes via this link. The 1.2.4 hotfix should make the game significantly more stable and fix key issues reported by players. Techland has confirmed that additional updates are already in development.
