A Battle With a Mechanical Dragon — New Gameplay Footage From Open-World RPG Action Game Crimson Desert
A brand-new video has been released for Crimson Desert, the upcoming single-player open-world action RPG from South Korean studio Pearl Abyss, best known for the MMORPG Black Desert.
The footage showcases the main character, Kliff, taking on a story quest and facing off against a massive mechanical dragon named Golden Star.
The gameplay is packed with dynamic action—Kliff uses a variety of moves and dodges, attacks the boss, and leverages the environment to survive. The scale and cinematic quality of the battle are highlighted, along with the rich atmosphere and detailed visuals of the fantasy world, creating a sense of epic adventure and spectacular combat.
In Crimson Desert, players embark on a journey across the continent of Pywel alongside Kliff, who is left without his crew after an attack by the Black Bears. The game offers a vast world to explore with no loading screens, where every action and encounter can impact the fate of characters and reveal unexpected events.
The combat system blends a wide range of weapons, skills, and elemental attacks, allowing players to craft their own fighting style and make choices that shape the story. You’ll need to reunite the scattered Grey Mane mercenary band, confront enemies threatening the continent’s order, and experience dramatic events that will define the destiny of both the hero and the world around him. The release is set for March 19, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Previous Crimson Desert videos have shown battles with a cursed knight, rideable dinosaurs, and even a robot armed with a machine gun.
