It’s Official: Silent Hill 2 and Until Dawn Remakes Are Coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium

Following today’s leak, Sony has officially announced the October lineup for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. As the insider predicted, the remakes of Silent Hill 2 and Until Dawn are indeed joining the service.

In Silent Hill 2 (PS5), players will step into the shoes of James Sunderland and dive into the mysterious, fog-shrouded, and terrifying town of Silent Hill, filled with nightmarish monsters. Expect psychological tension and encounters with the iconic Pyramid Head, delivering a true masterclass in horror.

Another horror highlight is the remade Until Dawn (PS5), now updated for next-gen. The story revolves around eight friends trapped in an isolated mountain lodge, where two of their group disappeared a year earlier. Every decision you make shapes who survives and who falls victim to the relentless night.

For fans of vampire adventures, there’s V Rising (PS5) — a survival action/RPG. After awakening from centuries of slumber, players must hunt, build their own castle, and turn humans into loyal servants. The game can be played solo or with friends in co-op and multiplayer, including castle raids and diplomatic intrigue in a world of blood and power.

Japanese RPG fans will be thrilled with Yakuza: Like a Dragon (PS5 & PS4). After 18 years in prison, Ichiban Kasuga returns to confront the betrayal of his family. Joined by a quirky team of outcasts, he’ll brave the dangers of Yokohama’s underworld. Players can switch between 19 unique jobs—from bodyguard to musician—and use anything at hand as a weapon in dynamic battles.

Other additions include: Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 (PS5 & PS4), As Dusk Falls (PS5 & PS4), Wizard with a Gun (PS5), and the fighting classic Tekken 3 (available for Premium subscribers on PS5 & PS4).

All these games will be available to download starting October 21. Meanwhile, the base PS Plus tier currently offers Alan Wake 2, COCOON, and Goat Simulator 3.
