PC Gamer Reveals Updated Top 100 Best PC Games — The Witcher 3 Only Lands in Fourth Place

The PC Gamer team has unveiled its annual Top 100 Best PC Games list, featuring both recent releases and timeless classics. This year, editors evaluated games based on three main criteria: quality, significance, and uniqueness.

The longlist included 300 titles, ranging from cult classics to new projects that stood out thanks to their original ideas or outstanding execution. The final Top 100 was determined by the votes of the entire editorial team, with some additional tweaks for variety — only one game per series made the list, unless the entries were considered distinct enough from each other.

One highlight was Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, which earned its spot after one editor delivered an animated pirate-themed presentation to the team.

The editors emphasize that quality is the key factor — if a game isn’t worth your attention, it won’t make the list, no matter how unique or historically significant it is.
