Fatshark is marking the 10th anniversary of its beloved co-op Tide franchise — it’s been a full decade since the release of the first Vermintide. According to the studio, players in the Warhammer universe have met their end over eight million times at the claws of lowly Skaven.
To celebrate, the developers are rolling out updates for both major titles:
Darktide will introduce a brand-new class, set to be revealed on November 11, followed by a major update on December 2 featuring a new mission and limited-time event.
Meanwhile, Vermintide 2 will receive a free map called Return to the Reik on November 20, inspired by the Death on the Reik expansion from the original game. Players can expect intense battles on ship decks and river crossings.
In addition, the Geheimnisnacht Halloween event has already begun in Vermintide 2, bringing new cosmetics, double XP, and ritual-themed challenges.
Right now, Darktide is available on Steam at 60% off, while Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War — Definitive Edition is discounted by 20% for those looking to relive some nostalgia.
Earlier, we reported that Owlcat Games released a major patch for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader — update 1.5, packed with new content and fixes.
