It looks like Electronic Arts is preparing to launch the long-awaited Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6. Dataminers have discovered strings of code within the game files pointing to a release date of October 28, 2025.

According to Tom Henderson via Insider Gaming, the leaked data references a mode under the codename Granite — which is reportedly the internal name for Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale. The leak was first reported by dataminer ModernWarzone, who previously revealed the same launch date. He has now doubled down on his claims by sharing snippets of the game’s code that confirm Granite will go live alongside Season 1 on October 28.

While dates from leaks can always change, ModernWarzone’s confidence — especially in recent days — strongly suggests the release is imminent. Tom Henderson has not yet independently verified the information but notes that everything points to an upcoming announcement and possibly a surprise launch.

According to the same outlet, Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale is being developed as a free-to-play mode. Back in February 2024, Insider Gaming reported that it was designed in the spirit of major F2P shooters and intended to become a standalone branch of the franchise.

So far, DICE and EA have only confirmed that the mode exists but have not shared details about its release date or format.

Battlefield 6’s first season officially begins on October 28 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, featuring three content waves with new maps, vehicles, and weapons.
