Auroch Digital has unveiled a brand-new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, the direct sequel to the retro-style FPS set in the grimdark Warhammer universe. In this follow-up, players will be able to choose between two playable characters, each offering unique abilities, weapons, and playstyles.
Alongside the returning Ultramarine, the second playable hero is Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath — a devoted servant of the Imperium, ready to unleash the Emperor’s wrath upon humanity’s foes. She comes with her own set of abilities, gear, and weapons, adding a fresh dynamic to the gameplay.
The story of Boltgun 2 picks up immediately after the events of the first game. Players will explore new, uncharted worlds, seeing the grim universe of Warhammer 40,000 from a new perspective through a non-linear single-player campaign, where every decision can shape the outcome of missions.
Developers promise even more explosive action and brutal carnage — with an expanded arsenal ranging from chainswords to heavy shotguns, capable of turning enemies into showers of pixelated gore. Players will traverse diverse environments across the Imperium of Man, including towering hive cities, toxic mangrove swamps, and more.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is set to launch in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Steam page already live.
Earlier, the isometric RPG Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader received a massive 22 GB update, adding new content and features.
