DICE has officially announced that Battlefield 6 Season 1 will begin on October 28, coinciding with the release of the major Update 1.1.1.0. The patch will go live at 9:00 AM UTC, while the new seasonal content — including the Battle Pass, seasonal challenges, and new features — will unlock at 3:00 PM UTC.

Update 1.1.1.0 will focus on improving the game’s core feel and responsiveness. The developers will overhaul animations and movement, making landings, jumps, and stance transitions smoother and more natural. Weapon accuracy and recoil will also be refined to provide more consistent handling that better matches each weapon’s design.

Additionally, Battlefield 6 will receive major lighting, audio, and visual clarity improvements. Players can expect enhanced explosion and destruction effects, smoother light transitions between indoor and outdoor areas, and reduced fog and smoke persistence.

The UI and HUD will also see updates, introducing new progress indicators, fixing end-of-round issues, and refreshing unlock markers for weapons and gadgets. Several maps — including Mirak Valley, Liberation Peak, and New Sobek City — will receive fixes for spawn points, boundaries, and misplaced assets.

According to DICE, the update will make Battlefield 6 significantly more stable, dynamic, and visually clear across PC and current-gen consoles.

Rumors have also suggested that Battlefield 6 might introduce a free-to-play battle royale mode alongside its first seasonal content, though DICE has yet to confirm this. An official announcement may come later.
