Publisher Hasbro has confirmed that the ambitious role-playing game Exodus, developed by Archetype Entertainment, will be featured at the upcoming The Game Awards. The promising project is being created by industry veterans from BioWare, 343 Industries, and Naughty Dog.
In digital gaming, the Game Awards this December will showcase some new announcements from Hasbro including updates on our upcoming sci-fi RPG, Exodus, further cementing our commitment to innovative digital play experiences.
Fans are hoping that the showcase will include not only a new trailer but also the start of a full-scale marketing campaign ahead of the game’s release. Previously, Exodus appeared on several digital storefronts with a tentative 2026 launch window, suggesting that its debut is not far off.
Exodus is being developed for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S as a full-scale sci-fi RPG in the spirit of Mass Effect. The creative team includes industry legends such as James Ohlen, former designer of Baldur’s Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and Dragon Age: Origins and one of the creators of Mass Effect, as well as Drew Karpyshyn, the renowned writer behind Star Wars: KOTOR and the original Mass Effect trilogy.
Earlier, Archetype Entertainment shared new images and details from its debut project. In Exodus, players will battle the mysterious race known as the Celestials and explore vast cosmic frontiers alongside companions with unique abilities. The developers promise moral dilemmas, cinematic combat, and a variety of playstyles.
