R.E.P.O. Goes Temporarily Free on Steam — Plus a Massive Halloween Update Drops

The R.E.P.O. development team has released the second major update for their unique co-op game — version 0.3.0 (The Monster Update). Players can now dive into loads of new content, improvements, and fixes that make the gameplay even more dynamic and engaging.

To celebrate the update, R.E.P.O. is temporarily free to play on Steam until November 3. This is a perfect chance to try out the game and experience all the new features without spending a dime.

R.E.P.O. launched in Steam Early Access this February and quickly became a hit, peaking at over 270,000 concurrent players. At the time of writing, the game boasts a 96% positive rating based on 241,000 reviews.

The game is a horror co-op experience for up to six players, where physics and proximity voice chat play a key role. Players explore creepy locations together, obeying the laws of gravity, and collect valuable items using a unique grabbing tool. Teamwork and caution are essential to safely transport fragile or heavy objects — from pianos to ceramics — all while under the watchful eye of a mysterious AI. In-game currency can be used to purchase upgrades and weapons to boost your chances of success.
