Developer Stygian Software has officially launched the Steam page for UnderRail 2: Infusion, the sequel to the cult classic isometric RPG inspired by Fallout and Arcanum. Players can now add the game to their wishlist and watch a 10-minute gameplay video showcasing its updated visuals and mechanics.
In the sequel, you take on the role of a scavenger — a lone explorer who roams the ruins of a fallen civilization in search of lost technology and valuable resources. Your journey begins in Solidon, one of the most dangerous and mysterious underground cities of the Underrail. The developers promise dynamic turn-based combat, a living, reactive world, deep crafting systems, and interactive computer hacking mechanics that go far beyond simple stat checks.
According to the team, the Early Access release is still a long way off — Stygian Software expects development to take about a year and a half to reach the planned scope. No exact release date has been announced yet.
For now, the studio is finishing work on a new patch for the original UnderRail, which celebrates its 10th anniversary soon. Once that’s complete, development will shift fully toward the alpha version of UnderRail 2: Infusion.
Meanwhile, fans of post-apocalyptic RPGs have more to look forward to — Bethesda is preparing to release Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, featuring all six DLCs, Creation Club content, and enhanced graphics.
