Tales of Old: Dominus, a brand-new open-world RPG, has just been released on Steam and is available at a 20% discount until November 17. The developers also recently shared a gameplay trailer showcasing the game in action.

“The Battle of Brides is lost, but your story of rebellion and revenge is just beginning. Rise from the ashes to build your own domain. Conquer settlements, command your people, and rise up in a kingdom torn apart by corruption and civil war,” reads the official description.

Set in a kingdom ravaged by civil war, Tales of Old: Dominus follows the story of Erik of Voldham, a man who survived the crushing defeat of a rebellion and the loss of his family. Returning to his home village, Erik embarks on a path of vengeance.

Key features include a blend of brutal combat and engaging stealth mechanics, as well as crafting, building, and survival elements.

As the story unfolds, players can shape Erik’s path by combining the skills of a warrior, thief, or leader. Developing your settlement, crafting gear, recruiting fighters, and managing your lands allows you to build your own uprising against the oppressors. The game world reacts to your choices, giving you the freedom to pursue honest labor, trade, or banditry—immersing you in a living, brutal medieval world.

By the way, back in October, we also reported on the launch of the medieval sandbox MMO Pax Dei, which spent several months in early access.
