Warhammer Survivors, a brand-new roguelike inspired by Vampire Survivors, is set to launch in 2026. The game takes place across two legendary universes: Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. Developed by Auroch Digital, known for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, in partnership with poncle—the creator of the original Vampire Survivors—this project officially joins the “Survivors” family and runs on the same engine as the hit indie game.

Announcement trailer:

Players will face endless waves of enemies (from Tyranids to Skaven) in classic, fast-paced, pixel-art mayhem, leveling up their characters and collecting an ever-growing arsenal of devastating weapons. Battle arenas range from the ashen plains of Aqshy to tight, claustrophobic corridors—each with its own unique enemies and secrets.

You’ll be able to play as iconic heroes from both eras. From the 40K universe, the roster includes Malum Caedo, Kozlovsky’s Assault Trooper, and Space Marine Brother Luka. From Age of Sigmar, you can step into the boots of Niv Blacktalon, the legendary dwarf Gotrek Gurnisson, or Sharinn Azurewrath. Each survivor comes with unique abilities, starting stats, and signature weapons, making every run feel fresh and distinct.

Expect to wield classic boltguns, chainswords, and whirlwind axes, along with humorous Easter eggs—like a can of Citadel Nuln Oil you can literally pour over hordes of enemies. Between runs, players can unlock new heroes, abilities, and rare relics, helping them survive even longer in future waves.

Warhammer Survivors aims to fuse the frantic pace of Vampire Survivors with the gothic might of Warhammer, promising a true “pixel massacre” for fans of both franchises. The game already has a Steam page.

“Become the embodiment of bullet hell in Warhammer Survivors, a fast-paced roguelite survivors game. Play as characters from the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar universes, collect and evolve iconic weapons and destroy endless swarms of enemies,” reads the official description.

By the way, the original Vampire Survivors recently made it into PC Gamer’s list of the top 100 greatest games of all time.
