Lead Writer of BioShock 4 Leaves Cloud Chamber for CD Projekt RED

Liz Albl, the lead writer for the upcoming BioShock game, left Cloud Chamber back in August and has now joined CD Projekt RED, the studio currently working on the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 4.
Her departure comes after publisher 2K decided to “revamp” key elements of BioShock 4 and downsize the team due to dissatisfaction with the project’s progress—particularly on the narrative side. As a result, several employees were let go, studio head Kelley Gilmore was removed from her position, and creative director Hogarth De La Plante was transferred to the publishing division.
BioShock 4 is now being overseen by industry veteran Rod Fergusson, known for his work on the Gears of War and Diablo franchises. The game's story is reportedly undergoing a major overhaul.
As for Liz Albl, her previous credits include the (now-canceled) Wonder Woman game, Ghost of Tsushima, Far Cry 5, Watch Dogs, and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
Not much is known about the new BioShock—rumors suggest a new setting and open-world elements. Take-Two has confirmed the game is still in development, but no release window has been announced.
Meanwhile, Netflix is working on a film adaptation of the original BioShock, with Roy Lee attached as producer.
