An Enthusiast Has Shown What A God Of War Remake Could Look Like On Unreal Engine 5

While Sony isn’t in a hurry to produce a remake of the 2005 God of War, one enthusiast decided to take matters into his own hands. A creator known as Alifilmworx has presented a fan-made updated version of the iconic opening scene from the original game, recreated in Unreal Engine 5.
Most of the video is dedicated to the creation of models and animation, and in the finale you can see the classic Kratos wielding the Blades of Chaos, fighting enemies, and a detailed close-up of the God of War’s 3D model. The creator also shows a brief appearance of the Hydra — a boss from the first game.
As with most UE5 concept projects, this remake exists solely for portfolio purposes. There is no way to download it, as no playable demo exists. The author notes that he spent more than eight months working on the project, calling it his most ambitious work to date.
Earlier, fans of the God of War reboot managed to decipher the World Serpent’s lines thanks to a leak of the original script. Concept art from a canceled multiplayer God of War project also surfaced recently.
