Silent Hill 2 Quietly Launches on Xbox Series X/S — and It’s Already 50% Off
The Xbox version of Silent Hill 2 arrived with zero fanfare — the game simply appeared in the Microsoft Store without any announcements. The developers didn’t acknowledge the release on social media either, but they did roll out a hefty 50% discount.
The game has also joined the Xbox Play Anywhere program, meaning a single purchase grants access on both PC and Xbox. Meanwhile, PlayStation 5 owners don’t have to pay at all: the horror title is available through the PS Plus Extra subscription.
Rumors of a Born From a Wish story expansion remain unconfirmed, though the developers have teased an upcoming announcement. The DLC is expected to explore Maria’s life before she meets James.
Earlier, Bloober Team also revealed a remake of the original Silent Hill, which likely won’t arrive before 2027.
