Four Games of Different Genres Are Now Permanently Free on Steam, Including an Open-World Horror Shooter

Steam has added four more games to its growing lineup of permanently free titles, spanning a variety of genres. The new additions are Lightphobe, IRREVERSIBLE, Rusts Of Corruption, and SpeedCoins.

Lightphobe is an asymmetrical team-based PvP game that blends stealth and fast-paced shooter gameplay. Players can choose to fight as well-armed Soldiers defending the planet or join the dark horde of ethereal skeletal creatures known as the Lightphobes.

Soldiers play from a first-person perspective, holding objectives and coordinating with teammates, especially against unpredictable human opponents. Lightphobes rely on melee combat and enhanced mobility, including wall jumps, and are invincible in the dark until exposed by a special light source. The game previously sold for $10 and currently holds a 100% rating.

IRREVERSIBLE is an open-world horror shooter set in a creepy village filled with monsters and paranormal phenomena. Players explore a fully seamless world available immediately after a short intro, traveling via three types of vehicles and freely choosing where to go and what tasks to pursue.

Completing quests, solving puzzles, and interacting with the village’s inhabitants affects both the story and the game’s ending. Dialogue is powered by AI, featuring 40 pages of text and English voiceover. Players have access to six types of weapons, though the game can be completed without firing a single shot. The world features diverse locations such as abandoned villas, asylums, churches, cemeteries, and settlements, all backed by a horror-themed soundtrack.
