CD Projekt RED’s upcoming project, The Witcher 4, could restore the studio’s glory in the action-RPG arena. This time, the spotlight is on Ciri, who embarks on her own adventure in place of the now “retired” Geralt of Rivia.

The character also has a new voice actress — in the official English version, Ciri will be voiced by Ciara Berkeley, replacing Jo Wyatt. In an interview with GamesRadar+, longtime “voice” of Geralt, Doug Cockle, expressed enthusiasm for the choice and said he believes Berkeley will handle the role just as well.

I only spoke with her briefly, just today. We exchanged some DMs a couple of weeks ago just to say hi... She's lovely, and I think she's going to do a great job. She's got a fantastic presence in person. I don't really have any advice. I've offered to chat with her if she has any questions or anything like that, but she's a strong person. She's going to be fine.

The two actors met at the Golden Joystick Awards 2025 on November 20, where they presented trophies to the winners — results of the broadcast were reported in a separate news piece.

It’s worth noting that Geralt will still appear in the game, but the focus now is entirely on Ciri. Judging by his comments, Cockle is genuinely confident in the success of CD Projekt RED’s upcoming game, even willing to support his franchise colleague.

Earlier, a CDPR employee shared that she prefers Ciri’s portrayal in The Witcher 4 far more than her version in the third game. The character was also showcased in the upcoming collaboration between The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Sword of Convallaria, alongside Geralt, Triss Merigold, and Yennefer.
