Helldivers 2 Is Getting a New Premium Warbond: Python Commandos — Jungle-Themed Gear and Tactics Incoming

Arrowhead Studios has announced the upcoming release of a new premium Warbond expansion, Python Commandos, for Helldivers 2. The set will be available starting December 2, 2025, and will introduce a powerful arsenal, tropical special forces-style gear, and jungle warfare tactics to the game.
Heavy Firepower and New Stratagems
The Super Earth Ministry of Defense confirms: if Helldivers are the best in the galaxy, their weapons should be too. The “Pythons” Warbond delivers several new weapons:
- M-1000 “Maxigun” — a high-rate-of-fire, belt-fed machine gun with a massive ammo reserve, created in response to thousands of commanders’ requests;
- AX/FLAM-75 “Hot Dog” — a sentry drone equipped with a flamethrower, torching everything in its path with the flames of freedom and returning automatically for refueling;
- CQC-9 “Defoliation Tool” — a stratagem capable of burning down entire jungles or clearing a path through any undemocratic lifeforms;
- AR/GL-21 “One-Two” — a unique assault rifle/grenade launcher hybrid. It’s tricky to handle, but the damage is seriously convincing.
Two Armor Sets and Jungle Aesthetics
The new Warbond adds two armor sets inspired by legendary commando snakes:
- RS-20 “Constrictor” — lightweight armor and the official uniform of the League of Patriot Arm Wrestlers. Lets soldiers show off their biceps and strike fear into their enemies;
- RS-40 “Best of Prey” — heavy armor inspired by the legendary Helldiver Ronald Mambo: massive, protective, and aggressively styled.
Both sets come with the “Rock Solid” passive effect, reducing the chance of being stunned or ragdolled.
New Capes Included
- “Foe Rent Asunder” — a rugged look for battle-hardened veterans;
- “Mark of the Constrictor” — for those who prefer to crush anti-democratic activity with their bare hands.
Camo, Emotes, and Cosmetics
The “Pythons” Warbond brings a new emote, “Front-Leaning Rest Position” — now you can drop for push-ups right in the middle of the fight.
Players will also get the “Chameleon” paint job for MTRs, exosuits, Hellpods, and shuttles.
To top it all off, there’s a new “Python Commando” title for your entire squad to show off.
To celebrate the announcement, the developers released a new trailer highlighting the Warbond’s jungle theme: Helldivers strike from ambush, operate stealthily, and use snake- and jungle-inspired gear. The green palette, camo, aggressive designs, and tactical raids all underline the unique character of this expansion. The video puts a spotlight on teamwork and the idea of “injecting the venom of Freedom into the enemy’s heart.”
The “Python Commandos” Warbond launches December 2, 2025, and will be available for Super Credits. The base game and appropriate progression are required to access the content.
By the way, Arrowhead recently teased their next game, which will also carry the spirit of Helldivers 2.
