Publisher SOEDESCO and developer Saikat Deb have released a new trailer for the survival horror game The 9th Charnel, revealing its exact release date. The game is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The latest video also features fresh gameplay footage.
In The 9th Charnel, players are thrown into a dark and dangerous future where humanity has lost faith in societal progress, and corruption and power are everywhere.
The game focuses on survival and exploration: players will need to use both stealth and weapons to overcome deadly threats, solve puzzles, and push the story forward.
Characters—including Michael J. Jones, Sarah Whitlock, and Daniel J. Hart—are given detailed backstories and motivations. The story unfolds after a group of researchers find themselves in a crisis in a nature reserve, where they encounter terrifying and deadly phenomena.
The 9th Charnel blends realistic graphics, an atmospheric soundtrack, and a rich narrative, immersing players in a tense and unsettling atmosphere where every decision impacts survival and the unraveling of the location’s mysteries.
The 9th Charnel is set to release on January 30, 2026. A demo is already available on Steam.
Recently, we also reported on the creepy horror game Junji Ito Maniac: An Infinite Gaol, which has received very positive reviews from gamers.
