Tekken 8 Receives Major Update Featuring Miary Zo, New Arena, and Numerous Fixes

Bandai Namco has rolled out update 2.008 (2.008.001) for Tekken 8 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The patch introduces a brand-new character, Miary Zo, the BAOBAB HORIZON stage, the latest TEKKEN FIGHT PASS — ROUND 8, enhanced visual effects, anniversary rewards, and a substantial batch of gameplay fixes.

The update mainly focuses on addressing system and balance-related bugs. Improvements have been made to sound effects, voiceovers, visuals, and the Heat system — notably fixing a bug that caused certain moves to be incorrectly blockable during Heat mode. Developers have also tweaked cinematic scenes and animations.

A wide range of character-specific adjustments have been implemented. For example, Alisa’s Floor Break now only triggers on the final hit of Destructive Form, Armor King has received several fixes, and Hwoarang’s second hit in Right Flamingo has a reduced hitbox to prevent it from landing on opponents behind him. Jin, King, Leroy, Lili, Steve, and Yoshimitsu have also received fixes related to positioning, tracking, and interactions with environmental objects.

The headline additions in this patch are Miary Zo and the BAOBAB HORIZON arena. Both DLCs are available in early access from December 2 for season pass holders, and will be released separately for all players starting December 5. The in-game store now features a new selection of items, discounts as part of the TEKKEN SPECIAL DEAL event, and the launch of a new battle pass. Players can earn up to 100 free Tekken Coins or 700 coins with the premium version.

Additionally, players are receiving anniversary gifts, including Clive panels, a "2nd Anniversary" title and plate, as well as the festive Holo Art effect "HAPPY BIRTHDAY."
