Publisher Blumhouse Games and developer EYES OUT, LLC. have released SLEEP AWAKE, a first-person horror game now available on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. To celebrate the launch, the developers have also unveiled a new trailer.

SLEEP AWAKE is a psychedelic first-person horror experience that has players exploring the thin line between sleep and death. The game is set in the last known city on Earth, where residents suffer from endless insomnia and desperately try to avoid the mysterious phenomenon known as HUSH — the vanishing of anyone who falls asleep.

Players take on the role of Katya, a young woman struggling to survive among cultists and unravel the mysteries of her past. As she explores the ruined city and solves puzzles, the game blends FMV sequences with psychedelic visual effects, blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination. The soundtrack, composed by Robin Finck, aims to create a deeply unsettling atmosphere. The project also features game director Corey Davis, known for his work on Spec Ops: The Line.

Gameplay focuses on exploration and puzzle-solving, stealthy evasion of pursuers, and psychological tension between sleep and wakefulness.

In the last city on Earth, people disappear in their sleep. The rest cling to life, exhausting themselves in desperate attempts to stay awake. Make your way through the darkness of death cults, otherworldly horrors, and the HUSH to save yourself and those you love.
