The developers of BALL x PIT have revealed that over one million players have tried the game since its launch in October this year. To celebrate this milestone, the team has announced three upcoming updates, all of which will add new content to the game for free.
Here’s what players can expect from the upcoming updates:
- New balls;
- New evolutions;
- New buildings;
- New characters;
- Other improvements.
The update schedule is as follows:
- January — Regal Update (refined aesthetics and “royal” additions);
- April — Shadow Update (dark and moody theme);
- July — Naturalist Update (a return to nature-inspired motifs and more “organic” evolutions).
The developers note that BALL x PIT continues to maintain a massive and dedicated community, and they promise even more of what players love about the game. More details about the first update will be revealed soon.
BALL x PIT is described as a fantasy roguelike where players descend into a dangerous pit in search of balls and trophies. As they progress, they craft magical tools, experiment with fusing dozens of ball types, build the new Ballvilon, and unlock new heroes. By exploring different biomes and battling monsters and bosses, players find allies and gradually strengthen their expedition to delve deeper into the ruined city. BALL x PIT has already been nominated for "Best Independent Game" at The Game Awards 2025.
