Release of Suda51’s Action Game Romeo is a Dead Man Set for February

Grasshopper Manufacture has officially announced the release date for its first completely new IP in ten years — Romeo is a Dead Man. The game will launch on February 11, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam).

Romeo is a Dead Man is a third-person single-player action-adventure from Goichi “Suda51” Suda, divided into chapters. Players take control of Romeo Stargazer, whose story is full of unexpected twists and intense battles, along with side quests that allow them to progress through the story at their own pace.

The game’s story begins with the shattering of space-time due to a mysterious incident. Romeo, on the brink of life and death, is revived through a new kind of super-technology and becomes a special agent of the FBI’s Space-Time Police. His mission is to track down criminals who have exploited the chaos and restore justice to the universe. At the same time, Romeo searches for his missing girlfriend Juliet and discovers that her disappearance may be closely linked to the destruction of the space-time continuum.

Players can switch between swords and firearms to fight waves of enemies. By absorbing enemy blood, Romeo can activate a special attack called Bloody Summer, capable of turning the tide of battle. Weapons can be upgraded and customized as the story progresses to take on increasingly powerful foes.

Romeo is a Dead Man is the studio’s first fully new game in many years. Players can expect an unpredictable story and unique action gameplay based on the developers’ decades of experience.

Recently, alongside Romeo is a Dead Man, Pragmata — another upcoming release from Capcom in 2026 — also received its age rating.
