A Gift from the Developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 — Update Adds Photo Mode and New Content

Sandfall Interactive has released a major update for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, thanking players for their support and the game's win at The Game Awards 2025. The update introduces new content, a photo mode, and a range of improvements.
The update brings new costumes for each member of the expedition, challenging late-game boss variations, as well as new Luminas and weapons. Additionally, the Old Key item is now available in the final area, previously obtainable only during the prologue, giving players a second chance to collect all journals in a single playthrough.
New features include Photo Mode, allowing players to capture impressive screenshots, the ability to save up to 50 different Lumina loadouts for quick tactical switching, enhanced HUD settings, an improved interface, and controller remapping support. Players on Steam Deck and ROG Xbox Ally will notice improved graphics and performance, fixes for lighting and fog issues, and better controller and interface optimization.
The developers also fixed numerous bugs in combat and character behavior, addressed save file and playtime display issues, and corrected skill functionality. The studio plans to continue adding more fixes and expanding the list of supported languages in future updates.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was the highest-rated game at the recently concluded The Game Awards 2025. The full list of nominees and winners can be found here.
