Larian Studios, the team behind Baldur's Gate 3, has officially unveiled Divinity — a new RPG that, according to the developers, will be the deepest and most ambitious project in the studio’s history.
According to the first press materials, Divinity will not require familiarity with the studio’s previous games. However, players who have experienced Divinity: Original Sin and Original Sin 2 will notice subtle references, connections, and broader continuity.
The team says the new game represents the culmination of everything Larian has learned — with even greater scale, complexity, and emotional depth. More details are expected soon, and it has already been confirmed that the game will have no subtitle, unlike previous entries in the series.
Despite our long history with the series, this is our first game entitled 'Divinity.' We're ready to bring everything we've done previously into one place.
This marks the beginning of something with more breadth, depth, and intimacy than anything we've created before. We've been building toward this moment ever since we took our fate into our own hands. This is the Divinity we've always wanted to make and you're going to have loads of fun with it.
Meanwhile, fans have already started speculating about the story of the next Divinity. Some have drawn parallels between the statue shown in the teaser and the image of the God King, one of the primary antagonists of the entire series.
