New Screenshots and Details of Exodus, an Ambitious RPG from Former Mass Effect Developers

Archetype Entertainment, founded by former BioWare developers, has revealed new details about its sci-fi action RPG Exodus. The game is scheduled for release in early 2027.
The main protagonist will be Jun Aslan, an ordinary salvager on the dying moon Lidon, who has yet to realize his true potential. Players will guide him from an unremarkable nobody to a Traveler capable of confronting humanity’s greatest threats 40,000 years after the fall of Earth.
The story takes place deep in the Centauri Cluster, where the first settlers have evolved into the powerful Celestials, rulers of entire star systems who look down on humanity. Jun carries a genetic gift that makes him the only one capable of facing the coming danger.
The developers emphasize that players will gradually unlock Jun’s powers and make difficult decisions while preserving his humanity. His companions—Tom, Elise, the mechanized octopus Salt, and others—are not just allies but reminders of what is worth fighting for. Player choices will affect Jun’s development, mastery of ancient technologies, and consequences that ripple across generations.
Archetype Entertainment notes that Exodus is not just a survival story but a narrative about loss, legacy, and the courage to move forward despite challenges. In the coming months, the team plans to reveal more details about the companions, hostile worlds, and gameplay mechanics.
Exodus is set to launch in 2027 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
