The Epic Games Store is giving away its tenth holiday freebie, and this time it’s We Were Here Together. Released in 2019, the game boasts an 82% positive rating on Steam.
We Were Here Together is a cooperative adventure focused on puzzle-solving and teamwork between two players.
The story follows an Antarctic expedition whose members set out to trace a distress signal, only to become separated inside the ominous medieval Castle Rock.
Gameplay revolves around constant voice communication via walkie-talkies, as each player has a unique perspective, environment, and set of clues. Players will tackle a variety of logic puzzles, explore atmospheric locations—from the base camp and icy wastelands to the castle’s halls and dungeons—and gradually uncover the secrets of Castle Rock and its mysterious inhabitants.
This entry is designed exclusively for online co-op, offering a longer adventure than previous games in the series, introducing new mechanics, and continuing the overarching story. The focus is on observation, communication, and close teamwork.
You can add We Were Here Together to your EGS library here. The giveaway lasts for 24 hours only.
Meanwhile, hundreds of games are on sale in Steam’s ongoing Winter Sale.
