Release Date for Pac-Man Pack DLC for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Announced

SEGA has dropped a teaser trailer and officially set a date for the upcoming paid PAC-MAN Pack for the arcade racer Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. The expansion is scheduled to arrive on January 7 for PC and consoles.

The DLC introduces a wave of new content, including Pac-Man and the Ghosts as playable racers, the PAC-MAN Mobile vehicle, the PAC-Village & Maze track, six unique character emotes, and new sound effects.

The PAC-MAN Pack is the third of six planned post-launch expansions. Before the end of 2026, the game is set to receive additional packs featuring characters from the Mega Man series, as well as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar: The Last Airbender franchises. All announced DLCs are included as part of the game's Season Pass.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is currently available on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The title has been a hit with both critics and fans, holding an 82/100 on Metacritic (PS5 version), an 84/100 on OpenCritic, and a 94% positive rating on Steam. Reviewers have praised its high-octane gameplay, deep customization system, massive roster of characters and vehicles, solid visuals, responsive controls, and stellar soundtrack.

In other franchise news, Paramount Pictures recently announced a new spin-off set within the Sonic the Hedgehog cinematic universe.
