The authors of Phasmophobia have opened their own publishing house to support other independent developers
Kinetic Games Studio, responsible for the horror Phasmophobia, has opened its own publishing house Kinetic Publishing. The authors stated that this is necessary to support other independent developers.
"Kinetic Publishing aims to champion innovation within the independent game development space, and help teams on games across a wide range of genres, with a focus on a small slate, meaning each team can receive meaningful attention alongside tailored support".
The label will provide financial, legal, and marketing support, as well as development recommendations. The Phasmophobia team believes they can provide the help CEO Daniel Knight dreamed of when he launched his game.
The publisher will consider applications from small teams and single developers from all over the world who have a clear idea of their game and which is 12-18 months away from release.
Kinetic Publishing will be led by five core studio executives, while the core development team will remain fully focused on Phasmophobia.
Recall that 2025 was a breakthrough year for Phasmophobia. After the success of the game, Hollywood studio Blumhouse Productions announced its desire to make a film based on this horror.
