Microsoft is planning a surprise for the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct — insiders say a fourth, unannounced game will be revealed during the show. The digital presentation will take place on Thursday, January 22, starting at 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM Eastern / 6 PM UK.
So far, Microsoft has confirmed appearances from Forza Horizon 6, Fable, and Beast of Reincarnation, the new project by Game Freak — the studio best known for the Pokémon series. However, well-known insider Shinobi602, who has reliably shared behind-the-scenes details before, revealed that the show will also include a mysterious fourth title.
According to VGC, which confirmed these reports, the surprise project is a smaller original game from one of Xbox Game Studios’ internal teams. While not a major AAA release, it’s expected to serve as the show’s final announcement — a fitting conclusion to the presentation.
The Xbox Developer Direct will focus on Microsoft’s key exclusives scheduled for 2026, with the secret game set to bring an exciting twist to the event. Fans can watch the stream live on the official Xbox YouTube channel and Twitch.
In related news, reports suggest that Forza Horizon 6 could launch before the end of June 2026.
