The Division 3 Promises to Be a Real “Monster” — in the Best Possible Way

Yesterday, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment officially confirmed that Tom Clancy's The Division 3 is still in active development. The game’s executive producer, Julian Gerighty, reiterated this during the New Game+ Showcase, noting that the Massive team is “working tirelessly” on the upcoming looter shooter.

So, The Division 3 is in production, right? This is not a secret. It’s been announced. It’s shaping up to be a monster. I can’t really say anything more than that. But this is within these walls in Massive. We are working extremely hard on something that I think will be as big an impact as Division 1 was.

Gerighty fully shifted his focus from Star Wars Outlaws to The Division 3 last year, taking charge of continuing Ubisoft’s acclaimed franchise. Although the publisher hasn’t shared a single screenshot yet, the producer assures fans that development is progressing well — and that something truly impressive is on the horizon for shooter enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, The Division 2 continues to receive support. Last year, Ubisoft announced the “Survivors” story content, which will likely serve as the game’s final major chapter before the next installment takes the spotlight. Its gameplay was also shown during the recent New Game+ Showcase.
