Fan-Made HD Remaster of The Witcher 3 Gets Major Graphics Overhaul
Modder Halk Hogan, creator of the ambitious The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition 2026 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has released a new video showcasing the latest development progress and highlighting the mod's key visual improvements.
The showcase focuses on months of work poured into this fan-made remaster. Many world objects, including haystacks and fishing nets, are no longer static — they now react to their environment and sway in the wind, bringing locations noticeably more to life.
The video pays special attention to character models. All heroes will receive complete overhauls, including new models, textures, and finer details. Geralt's armor and gear, along with Roach's equipment, also see significantly enhanced detail levels compared to current mod versions. Halk Hogan has also introduced highly realistic ice textures.
The author emphasizes that the changes shown represent just a fraction of what will be included in the final The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition 2026. The mod's release is still planned for this year, promising even more visual upgrades ahead.
The previous version of The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition is available here.
Earlier, The Witcher 3 also received a fully released mod adding complete online multiplayer functionality.
